Field Day is Amateur Radio’s largest annual open house & emergency preparedness exercise. It is held 2 times a year, the fourth weekend of June and the last weekend in January. At these times, HDARC members set up temporary, off-grid stations at various locations to contact as many other stations as possible, showcasing the hobby to the public.

Science Classroom Activity

HDARC believes in reaching out to local schools, especially STEM schools, to present how amateur radio supports academic skills. We also support other Youth Outreach programs such as Teachers In Space, Explora Balloon Camps, Scouting, and more!
